Host Adam Burke was back on the mic in a creative way with some bad wifi as an annoyance, but a hurdle to leap over on a Monday. He had a lot to discuss on this edition of The Bettor’s Box, starting with what we’ve seen offensively in the month of May and a discussion about the sustainability of those numbers. Adam then looked at small sample size stats and whether or not they are worth using in a handicapping context, like what teams have done over the last seven or 14 days.
After that discussion and a talk about Game Score, the sabermetric stat of the show, Adam did an overview on the recent line moves that we’ve seen and previewed four series for the week ahead with thoughts on White Sox vs. Twins, Tigers vs. Mariners, Astros vs. Athletics, and Red Sox vs. Blue Jays.
