SNL's 46th season was anything but ordinary. Kicking off "in-studio" during the height of the pandemic--to make hay during the election--the show turned in a record-breaking 6-episode run, followed by a marked post-inaugural shift in tone. The production was hamstrung in some ways but also liberated by strict safety protocols, and in the end, delivered 20 episodes that run the gamut from Maya Rudolph to Elon-F*ing-Musk!
