In this episode, we talk about our focus during the holiday season. We are about to begin the Advent season and there is so much that is trying to compete for our attention, but without intentional focus, we allow our attention to drift where advertisers want instead of where the Word wants. Christmas in our culture has largely become all about busyness, consumerism, and distraction. However, we can choose to slow down, pay attention, and reflect on the beauty and mystery of the Incarnation during this time. It's time for Advent to save Christmas.
It's funny that Josh asked us at the beginning about expectations and disappointments because Advent is a season of expectancy, but Jesus never disappoints.
And poor Tyler talks about his sweet prayer as a child wanting to stay just ONE MORE DAY at Disney World. Well, he got to stay one more day... 😳
