Jesus walked everywhere he went and had at least 12 guys and several women tagging along. For at least 3 years, he taught them, did miracles around them, and re-shaped their understanding of the Bible, obedience, and love of God and neighbor. His goal: to change the way they lived so that they became like Him and were equipped to carry on His mission after his ascension. They still had their own personalities, but Christ lived through them. Today, we have a totally different way of life. The culture is different. Our schedules are busy. Yet Jesus still said that we are supposed to make disciples. Is this the job of the church? The Pastor? The lay people? And how do we make disciples today?
