I spoke with Shaun Connell EVP of Power at Lancium LLC. about Bitcoin the commodity and how bitcoin mining can be used as a tool in providing demand response and flexibility to the energy grid. We spent a fair amount of time on commodity cycles and the convergence of prices in the commodity space. We even speculated on the cyclical nature of bitcoin, and whether he expects it to continue into the future.
