My guest today is Oli Shawyer.

He's a two-time guest and I asked him to come back because there has been a lot of requests for some substantial coverage of the sales funnel.

Oli has been working really hard on building the marketing pipeline for the Australian Football League in New South Wales and Queensland so he is working on this concept consistently these days.

We talked about the sales funnel and how to manage the top, middle, and bottom of the funnel. We discussed what the funnel should look like when people get into the top of the funnel, when they are in the middle, and finally when you get them to the point of taking action.

We also cover what you should do with your marketing in a recession. Why ROI isn't always the best measurement of success. How your marketing investment builds over time and that if you fall prey to "last-click attribution" you can end up harming your business in the long run.
