(00:00:02) Our Night at the Opera cold open is, of course, a reflection of the Madame Butterfly scene in “The TV Movie” where Grace is summoned from the opera. Fans of “Frasier” may also recognise tributes to the S07E15 episode “Out With Dad” which can be seen here.

(00:07:25) “Get Some In” is a British TV sitcom featuring Tony Selby about National Service life in the Royal Air Force, broadcast between 1975 and 1978 by Thames Television.

We have also refashioned this to show the seven hosts of the Diddly Dum podcast which are (anti-clockwise from 1 o’clock round to 5 o’clock) Al No, The Revd Cpt Hullo Porro (The Rev), Matt Charlton, Allan Lear, Hayden Gribble, Mark John and Doc Whom. All these thumbnail sketches were done by the Rev himself (@skaromedia) at various times in the podcast’s existence.

(00:22:40) “Child Out of Time” is Hayden’s memoir of growing up in the Doctor Who Wilderness Years.

(00:33:21) At “Capitol”, the 40th anniversary convention of the Doctor Who Appreciation Society in 2016, Hayden was asked to try on a Gallifreyan soldier’s uniform for reasons which we’ve forgotten and he took the opportunity to be photographed with guests (left to right) Daphne Ashbrook, Fraser Hines and Yee Jee Tso.

(00:35:55) As is surely common knowledge, each host of the Diddly Dum podcast upon arrival is presented with an engraved silver Edwardian cigarillo case. With one exception, all hosts have kept these in the inside pockets of their crushed velvet smoking jackets over their hearts as protection against assassin’s bullets from rival podcasts. The one exception is Mark who uses it to keep his fags in.
