Dr David Cox is the Chief Medical Officer of Headspace, one of the worlds leading providers of online meditation. Having begun his career as an Emergency Department physician, he soon realized that to implement the changes he felt were so needed at an institutional level in healthcare, would require a transition to his role as a healthcare executive and management consultant. After several years in an executive role, the opportunity to join Headspace came about through a fortuitous meeting with one of its cofounders. The rest as they say, is history.

In this episode we deep dive into several key issues including the challenges of front line care, being a small piece in an enormous cog of a giant healthcare system and the best ways to think about career progression.
