In Podcast Episode 261, “What I Wouldn’t Give for 15 Minutes with….,” Kim discusses the experience the Queen of Sheba had when she made a long journey to spend time with King Solomon of Israel. We all know that even short encounters with individuals can change our lives, and it appears the Queen’s time with Solomon had a significant impact on her. How do you think your life might be impacted if you set aside even 15 minutes of undivided attention to spend with the God who was the granter of all of Solomon’s wisdom?
Our focal passages for this episode are 1 Kings 10:1-13; 2 Chronicles 9:1-12 with verses 1 Kings 10:1-3 as the focal verses:
1 When the queen of Sheba heard of Solomon’s fame, which brought honor to the name of the Lord, she came to test him with hard questions. 2 She arrived in Jerusalem with a large group of attendants and a great caravan of camels loaded with spices, large quantities of gold, and precious jewels. When she met with Solomon, she talked with him about everything she had on her mind. 3 Solomon had answers for all her questions; nothing was too hard for the king to explain to her.
