In this day and age, being a student athlete is more difficult now than ever before. Balancing work, academics, friends, family, and sports is definitely a challenge to say the least.

This week, we chat with former Southern Miss Softball player, recipient of multiple USM and Conference USA academic awards, and all-around amazing teacher, Samantha Papp. Samantha shares about her experiences as a student athlete, as well as her time learning and working in Special Education. She unpacks lessons learned from her time on and off the field and also gives advice and encouragement to young women (and their parents) that are looking to pursue playing in college athletics.
