Ep 236: Chatting w/ WBC & WBO super middleweight champ, Franchòn Crews-Dezurn on singing, fashion, pancakes & going Kamikaze!

The ladies had the pleasure of being joined by WBC & WBO Super Middleweight title holder, Franchòn Crews-Dezurn on the show. Franchòn aka “The Heavy Hitting Diva” shared with Mo & Mel how she got her start in boxing and how singing led to it. She also talks about her over 14yr pro career and the long days & nights in prepping for fights. Mo & Mel hear about her fav “feel good meal” of pancakes and how she went from self promotion for most of her career to her recent signing with Golden Boy Promotions. Franchòn is training hard for her June 19th Triller Fight Club bout vs Elin Cederoos of Sweden for the IBF and WBA crowns to unify the title, in Miami. This is the first-ever Men’s and Women’s Undisputed title bouts being featured on the same card. Link below for information on how to order the PPV fight!

Mo & Mel then take on sports chat, discussing the NBA Playoffs, Mo’s Lakers really blowing game 5 vs the Suns, and what she thinks will happen with her Lakers for this round 1 series. Mel brings up LeBron leaving the court during the 4th qtr, to head back to locker room, and both agree it was a real childish thing to do, leaving his team on the court mid game. Of course the ladies have to discuss the Naomi Osaka withdrawing from the French Open and discussed mental health for not just athletes but also making it okay for everyone to feel secure in seeking therapy to help with any issues or battles they are facing. Mo & Mel discussed the local Las Vegas Aces, the Vegas Golden Knights and of course another special #GirlPower shoutout.
