058 - The Heathens Go To Church

Godless Heathens Podcast

On this episode the Godless Heathens went to church, on purpose, and not for a wedding, funeral or other family commitment. Not just any church, we attended the 4th largest Mega-Church in the Country, The North Point Community Church in Alpharetta, Ga. home to Pastor Andy Stanley. We have had many discussions about Andy, his church, and "seeker friendly" churches like his. With two of the three Godless Heathens having never attended a non-denominational evangelical seeker friendly church, we decided that if we were going to talk about it, we should probably see it with our own eyes. We discuss our preconceived notions, initial reactions and individual experiences and dig into the good and the bad of Andy's sermon.
