Having double major in English and Commerce and Masters in Education, I began my professional journey in Hyderabad, India. Having joined The Kindergarten Starters seven years back, I grew in my role from an outstanding teacher to an Educational Supervisor and Innovation Leader for Kindergarten. I am now the Year Head for all of KG 2. I strive to make each day better than the last for my students and teachers!

I have learnt from my 8 years at KGS that growth has NO LIMIT when you work in an environment and with a community that supports you every step of the way.

Reinvigorating student’s interest in learning Math in particular, in fun and innovative ways, has always been my passion. Encouraging and promoting handwriting skills is also something I am deeply interested in. I am inspired by the honesty and free spiritedness of my students, which I believe has added and keeps adding meaning and purpose to my role. I work towards getting the best out of my team members and motivate them to go beyond their best. THEIR achievements and their smiles is what drives me. Preparing the future generation for their future is always the most rewarding aspect of my job!

• The importance of writing, comes from the understanding that it is an evolutionary process. It took centuries for man to evolve and perfect the art of communication, the development of language.
  
• Not only do I find it soothing and calming to write, but writing is a necessity because it is a form of hand-eye-brain coordination and the importance of it can only be felt when you miss it. It is an essential part of a child’s sensory motor stage.
  
• The reason actual, physical handwriting needs to be perfected first is because digital is too abstract, it cannot be felt or touched. It is important for them to sensorial experience writing using the hand muscles. For example, children learn to walk but if you interfere, the process of walking is hampered due to the absence of bilateral coordination and midline crossing but you only realize the repercussions and the consequences later on as they grow. The same way, handwriting is a foundation which should be nurtured and not interfered with.
