Michael Armstrong joins the growing ranks of Veteran Co-hosts today and defines yet another Veteran attribute - Never Quitting.
With his cousin serving in the Marine Corps, Mike set his sights on following his lead. But his dream of becoming an 0331 - Infantry Machine Gunner was derailed when a diagnosis of childhood asthma was discovered. Mike's level of personal drive and determination eclipsed this challenge and he finally joined the ranks of the Army.
Hear Mike talk about his time in service and how after three deployments, the last one being the toughest, he was suffering from a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Post Traumatic Stress (PTS) and other physical injuries related to the May 18, 2012 destruction of the Artillary Gunline at FOB Bostick, Afghanistan.
Mike is like the vast majority of Veterans that have faced struggles in service and now have the skills and character to define these struggles as a Veteran and work through them. Another reason I'm humbled to be a member of the Veteran Community. Stay blessed and enjoy the episode.
