Since Google began, they’ve had the goal of becoming more conversational in their search queries. Instead of forcing users to search with specific keywords, they want to make search more chat-friendly and easy to use.
At the Google I/O Developer Conference in May 2021, they released two new conversation technologies: LaMDA (Language Model for Dialogue Applications) and MUM ((Multitask Unified Model). They promise to change the way people search and improve search results for long-tail queries that Google hasn’t seen before.
CEO, Alex Membrillo, and SEO Director, John McAlpin, dig into these latest technologies, discuss why Google is pushing for conversational search, and share their thoughts on what the future of search looks like for healthcare marketers.
