The habit of looking outside of oneself is a collective trance that has to be broken, in order to be free. As long as we are in imagination about the future or constantly recycling the past, we are not able to access eternal truth that is always here.
Making an inner decision in choosing to be present, and then practicing bringing ones attention back to Now, is vitally important. It takes courage and strength as what is here can be hard to bear.
