Jesus came into the world to reveal Himself as king, but the people rejected Him as king because He wasn't the Deliverer they wanted. We face decisions every day where we can choose to see the Kingship of Jesus or reject Him because He's not the Deliverer we want. But He is the Deliverer we need! The Kingship of Jesus brings us into continuing realms of glory, of seeing Him, of seeing His worth, of seeing His Kingdom, of seeing His power. If we are always dictating the terms of our own deliverance, if we already think we have all the answers—we are missing out on going from glory to glory, of constantly seeing more and more of Him, of constantly growing in our knowledge of Him, of constantly becoming more and more like Him. This is the deliverance we need.
