The Hurricanes were 93rd in America in turnover margin at -0.3. Miami ranked 81st in America in penalties at a whopping 6.1 per game. They ranked 95th in penalty yards at 57 yards per game. If Miami can drastically cut down on turnovers and penalties, they can dramatically improve on their seven wins from a season ago. On a positive note, the Hurricanes ranked 22nd in America with 35 sacks last year. The defensive line is even better on paper, so they could very likely become a top ten team in sacks. Pressuring Florida quarterback Graham Mertz week one will be critical. Reports out of Gators training camp indicate that the offensive line has not been performing well.
