Michael O'Brien is the Chief Shift Officer at Peloton Executive Coaching. Before surviving his near-death cycling accident that he calls his Last Bad Day, Michael created an award-winning sales and marketing career that took him from a territory rep to the executive suite with the responsibility of leading a thousand-person team and managing a $4B P & L.
Today Michael is an executive coach, speaker, and best-selling author focusing on resilience and preventing bad moments from turning into a bad day through his G.R.A.C.E. model. He also hosts a weekly podcast called The Kintsugi Podcast: Conversations about Resilience.
He also serves on The Healthcare Businesswomen's Association and frequently speaks about building diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture through allyship.
He has shared his personal transformational Last Bad Day story and leadership advice on the TEDx stage with Fortune 500 companies, Entrepreneur, Fast Company, Real Simple, ABC, and NBC.
This year to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his accident, he is riding his bike across the country. He's calling his 45 days, 4,500-mile trek, The Pause - Breathe - Reflect Tour, after a breathing process that spark his apparel line and helped him manage the stress of his recovery. As part of his ride, Michael will be raising awareness and funding for charities focused on First Nation healthcare, Climate Quality, and Trauma Recovery.
