In 2013 HempFlax came to GroeNoord with the request to develop together a special hemp harvester based on a John Deere combine. This led to the DoubleCut as we know it today. Gerard joined the team as project manager and had worked on further improvements in the production planning, dealer instructions, and overall higher engineering level. In 2021 he finished his thesis at CANN with research regarding the hemp market. He also joined the HempFlax team to get a better understanding of the hemp world.
