49: Dr. Robert Epstein – Brave New Big Brother

Zohar and Shachar host Dr. Robert Epstein, a Senior Research Psychologist at the American Institute for Behavioral Research and Technology, former editor-in-chief of Psychology Today magazine, and an author of 15 books on various topics. He is also the founder and Director Emeritus of the Cambridge Center for Behavioral Studies in Massachusetts. In recent years, Dr. Epstein's main focus has been researching the influence big technology companies have on our decision making in general, and the potential for affecting voter choice in democratic elections. Dr. Epstein claims that although we are all generally aware of the issue, the power companies like Google has on us is astonishing, and the extent of the usage of it is frightening. We are all walking, eyes wide shut, into a dystopian future where our independent free will is impaired or even revoked by our tech overlords.
