With 50 days until the midterm elections, new NBC News poll numbers indicate that even as Republicans lead on the issues, the two parties are in a dead heat for control of the next Congress. Queen Elizabeth was laid to rest following a state funeral Monday. Following Ukraine’s territorial gains in Kharkiv last week, Russia has continued to target nuclear facilities, this time in southern Ukraine. Clean water has been restored to Jackson, Miss. after seven weeks, but residents are still skeptical of the city’s water system.
