"Jesus on Trial" - Mark 14:53-65
Did Jesus ever say He was the Son of God, and why do we care that Peter warms his hands by the fire? In Mark 14:53-65 we read that Jesus remained quiet during his trial, but when asked if he was the Son of God, His response was simple, "I am." During this trial, we see the story of Peter following Jesus at a safe distance, pausing to remain safe by the fire in the courtyard. Like Peter, many of us choosing to be distant, safe, and comfortable.
