Brian, Blake and Richard are back with an all-new episode of the Chasing Tone Podcast! Brian trolls Richard expertly before telling us about his experiences at Summer NAMM and it’s not like any Summer NAMM he’s been to before so he gives us a run down of the show before literally almost performing a different kind of run down as he tries to take out the competition. He’s also been checking out some new music…well new for Brian anyhow….and Richard attempts to educate Brian on early German Power metal. Brian then speculates about Winter NAMM and the attendance levels that may or may not manifest themselves.

IK Multimedia, the creators of Amplitube, have come out with some cool looking pedals, and the guys chat about the concept and the large footprint IK have chosen. This brings up the subject of digital versus analog pedals and then the guys talks about how digital sounds different to different people and how age affects hearing. Taste and hearing loss have varying effects on our chase for tone as mentioned by one of our listeners, so the guys chat about it.

Rick Beato has had some copyright issues with an episode about “The Cars” and Brian discusses it before smoothly transitioning into the newly stoked up debate about streaming which has gone as far as the British parliament. Will the men in glitter be round? Blake admits he likes Wham and Richard discusses the generosity of George Michael.
