Do you have days where you simply have too many tasks? In this video, I offer five simple task management tips that can help you avoid that feeling of overwhelm.

It's frustrating to be juggling all the time. The business doesn't move forward that way. If we always say “yes” to competing priorities we won't do the work that matters most. These tips are easy to implement but will go a long way in helping you focus your energy.
The first tip is to prioritize. Based on your planning and your objectives, what is the one thing you can do this week that will move things forward?
If you have too many tasks, it’s also useful to know how much time you want to set aside for yourself. Whatever number you choose, be sure to double it. It’s easy to overestimate how much we can get done in a certain time period.
Another one of my task management tips is to block two time slots in your schedule. This is to give yourself some buffer. Stuff happens, and you want to make sure there is plenty of opportunity to work on what’s important.
Get your resources ready so you can go into that time with momentum.
The last tip is to let your team know about what you’re doing. They may not be used to you being so focused on one thing during the week, so be sure they know not to disturb you during your chosen time slot.
Don’t let yourself get overwhelmed by too many tasks. Just by implementing these five simple task management tips, you’ll be far more productive.
