Who are you focused on getting validation from? My good friend Monika has been encouraging me to be more inward-focused in terms of validation than outward-focused. Do I like who I am? Am I secure in who I am?
Honestly, most of the time now I do like who I am and I’m secure in who I am—but I need to keep reminding myself of that. I am again trying to not focus on whether I have outward validation. I need to inwardly validate myself and make that the source of joy and peace. Who is validating you? It helps to get external validation, but let me also tell you that it can be so fleeting.
