So many medical students out there are wondering what kind of alternative careers physicians pursue beyond clinical practice and how they can get exposure in these different careers. However, with a challenging and busy curriculum, it is often difficult for schools to find time to host informational sessions about alternative paths in medicine.
Today we talk to Dr. Khayat who is a PhD researcher turned healthcare innovator who speaks about her experience in changing career paths. She also discusses the importance of physicians pursuing alternative careers in entrepreneurship, innovation, and management in order to make tangible improvements to the healthcare system.
