This week, I talked with Anchor Co-Founder Mike Mignano. Anchor is a startup that makes it easy to create and distribute podcasts, it's the platform that hosts this podcast, and as a result, being a power user of the product, I was thrilled to have this conversation. Mike and his co-founder Nir Zicherman started Anchor, a New York-based company in 2015, eventually leading the platform to an acquisition by Spotify by 2019. This conversation includes anecdotes about the origin of Anchor, navigating through the "trough of sorrow" and, of course, Mike's vision and goals for the Spotify podcast ecosystem in the coming years.
