#10 John Strong | Ironman & Father of 11

John Strong is a Fairbury, Illinois native, and a man of many hats.
1.) He owns Marchelloni's Pizza, a beloved pizza place in central, Illinois.
2.) He owns multiple rental properties in the area.
3.) His wife, Monique, and he have 11 kids, with who they attend daily morning mass at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairbury.
4.) Finally, John is an impressive endurance athlete. He's run over 20 competitive marathons and many non-competitive ones just for fun in the countrysides of central Illinois! However, just last year, John completed his most amazing feat yet - completing an IRONMAN Triathlon!
🏅What is an IRONMAN TRIATHLON?: It's widely considered one of the most difficult one-day sporting events in the world, this race consists of a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bicycle ride, and a marathon (26.22-mile run) raced in that order.
In Episode #10 John speaks with me about the "Why?" behind his insane endurance-racing career, the impressive nature of his training and the trials he faced during, and the grueling ironman race itself from start to finish!
John was an absolute pleasure to talk to! In podcasting, they say every once in a while you have a guest that speaks well and often, and you call that guest a "Golden Guest". That's John.
