Eagles Postgame, Week 1, 2021 vs. Falcons

Week 1 of the Eagles 2021 season is now in the books! This team routed the Atlanta Falcons by a score of 32-6 down in Atlanta as this was Nick Sirianni's first regular season game as the Eagles head coach!
While the defense got off to a shaky start and allowed the Falcons offense to run all over them, they hunkered down, made adjustments, and become dominant within the second half of the game. A great defensive performance by new defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon & Co. as this defense ended the day with 3 sacks and 9 QB hits.
The offense truly appeared to be a well-oiled machine for much of the game. Jalen Hurts was the quarterback in this game who was in command and showed tremendous poise. He thew for 3 touchdowns and ran for over 6 yards as well.
While the Atlanta Falcons are not a good pro football team, we saw much promise from this Eagles team during this first game of the season.
