The pandemic threw a lot of us for a loop in the wedding industry, but it gave this couple the opportunity to celebrate in the way that they truly wanted — small, intimate, personal, and at home.

We both think we really lucked out by having a pandemic wedding. Neither of us had any interest in planning and our parents both had a lot of requests. It was gearing up to be a nightmare. Then the pandemic hit and our parents were suddenly more concerned about us getting married than planning a big multicultural extravaganza.

Jess, the CEO of Backbone Business, shares her wedding story and how they navigated the planning process prior to the pandemic and pivoted to get the wedding that they truly wanted in the end.
