Mike and Ken then delve into director Pedro Kos’ background to learn how his upbringing in Brazil was influenced by the Catholic Church. From there, it’s a deep dive into the story of the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and into the long, winding creative journey of the filmmakers. From animation to motion graphics to an exceptional musical score (and original songs by Sharon Van Etten and Rufus Wainwright), they used every tool in the toolkit to bring this important story to cinematic life.
