According to Lean In, 64% of women are experiencing micro-aggression at least once in their lifetime. Most commonly, women have to provide more evidence of their competence than men and they have their judgment questioned in their area of expertise.
In conjunction with the International Day for Elimination of Violence Against Women, UNAM Youth will unpack “Microaggression Against Women at the Workplace" with guest speaker Emellia Shariff, Founder & Managing Partner (Speak Up Malaysia), and Rizal Rozhan, Assistant Vice President, Strategy & Programs (Impact Development) alongside moderator, Hazirah Adlina, Deputy Head of Community, Outreach, and Collaboration at UNAM Youth.
