Hi, this is Ramalho and the fifty-eighth edition of the Vørtice Pødcast is starting. It's with great pleasure that I start the year with a very special guest. As well as being a friend, I've been following the evolution of his career since the beginning. Leonardo Barboza is the name behind the techno project BRZ, which brings a strong identity with the trajectory that Leonardo's career has taken. With heavyweight supports such as Amelie Lens, BRZ brings all his talent exclusively here for the first episode of the year on Vørtice Pødcast. Enjoy the set and happy new year! About @djbrz Leonardo Barboza, 29, was born and raised in São Paulo. He began his journey as a DJ in 2015, exploring the Tribal House genre in big clubs in São Paulo at the time, such as Flexx Club and The Week. In 2016 he started a Music Production course at Anhembi Morumbi University, where he expanded his knowledge of electronic music, mastering software such as Ableton Live and leaving his creativity free to experiment with new textures, harmonies and progressive rhythms. With this, he started the BRZ project, where he explores the main strands of Techno and House. Along with the creation of this project came the insight to idealize a collective where his art and creativity could unite other people with the same ideologies. And so Dashboard was born! In 2021, his productions gained momentum when he released his first track FEARS on V.A. BERKANA for Under Division Records, with the support of Amelie Lens for EXHALE/Belgium. And his first E.P. called CYCLES on the same label with an audiovisual release by HATE Collective. He is currently continuing his musical research, returning to his origins in House Music.
