We all graduated paramedic school realizing the training wasn’t enough. Emergency Medicine is too broad and the crisis we deal with in the field are too complex and chaotic for just 6 months and 500 hours to teach us everything we need to know. We finish training and are left to our own devices to fill in the gaps that exist.
