Live in the Light Daily Broadcast

In a world full of noise, opinions, and “spiritual” ideas, Peter reminds us that our faith isn’t built on myth or feel-good stories—it’s anchored in real events and divine revelation. He wasn’t passing on secondhand rumors. He was there. He saw Jesus glorified with his own eyes and heard the voice of God on the mountain. But even more powerful than his personal experience, Peter points to Scripture as the ultimate, trustworthy guide. The Bible isn’t just wise advice or spiritual poetry—it’s the very Word of God, breathed out through the Holy Spirit. It shines like a lamp in the darkness, guiding us until the day Christ returns in full glory. In a time when truth feels slippery and people often chase what's flashy or new, Peter calls us back to what's solid and unshakable: the gospel of Jesus Christ, confirmed by witnesses, and preserved in the written Word: the truth gives us every reason to believe!…

Peter knew his time was short, but instead of panicking or fading quietly into the background, he focused on reminding others of truth. Not new ideas, not novel insights—but the foundational truths of the gospel that they already knew. Why? Because sometimes the greatest spiritual danger isn’t forgetting facts—it’s forgetting to live by them. Sometimes, the most loving thing we can do for each other is remind one another of who Jesus is and what He’s done—especially when life gets noisy or overwhelming. Peter’s legacy wasn’t about leaving new ideas, but making sure believers would never lose sight of the truth after he was gone.…

Most people would agree that it is not very difficult to reciprocate love to someone who loves and treats you well. We'll even go to extreme lengths to demonstrate affection to those we care for, no matter the cost. But what about people who dislike, hurt, persecute or even, hate you? In our flesh, it seems unreasonable to expect someone to return love for hate, and kindness for cruelty, but that is exactly what Jesus calls us to do! Christ consistently showed love and compassion towards his enemies, even washing Judas' feet while knowing that Judas would betray him the following day. Jesus loved us and died for us when we were still his enemies and did not know him. He demonstrates true, unconditional love as an example to emulate. We are not to love as the world loves, but to love exceptionally, as Jesus did. The bar has been raised!…

After reminding believers that God has already provided everything needed for a life of godliness, Peter challenges them to take intentional steps to build on their faith. He outlines a series of spiritual traits to pursue—each one building on the next—and makes it clear these aren’t optional. They’re the visible evidence of a life that’s truly growing in Christ. When these qualities are increasing in your life, you’ll be both effective and fruitful in your relationship with Jesus. But without them, Peter warns, you risk becoming spiritually nearsighted—forgetting the very grace that saved you. That’s why he urges every believer to make every effort to confirm their calling and election—not to earn salvation, but to live in a way that reflects it, with the confident hope of a rich and eternal welcome into the kingdom of Christ.…

Today we’re kicking off a brand-new series walking verse by verse through the book of 2 Peter. This letter was written by the apostle Peter as he approached the end of his life, and it carries a sense of urgency and deep conviction. Right from the start, Peter reminds believers that God has already provided everything necessary for a life of godliness. In other words, there's no excuse not to grow. Spiritual growth isn’t a nice bonus—it’s essential, and it shows itself through the fruit of our lives. The same God who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light has given you His divine power—not just to resist sin, but to be continually transformed into His likeness.…

How do you live your life? Is it in surrender to God and generosity? Is it with a focus on the eternal treasure in heaven? If we're honest, we may get distracted by pursuing and dwelling on material wealth, relationships, respect, and a good reputation. God's interested in seeing our hearts completely devoted to him. Why? In Luke 12:34, Jesus says, "For where your treasure is, there your heart is also." Our hearts reveal what we treasure (love and value) the most. In this message, Pastor Robbie explores the reality of treasuring Jesus in our daily lives.…
