Join Janet Zipper and Gale Glassner for an interview with Dr. Ali Radfar who is the creator of Aperio Beauty’s unique, science-driven anti-aging platform. His insight into a new direction for skincare began during his medical school training, at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. While in medical school, Ali spent 2 years outside of his core medical degree, working as a Molecular Genetics research associate, with a focus on applying novel gene therapy vehicles towards effecting scar less wound healing. It was through this experience, that he developed a
keen appreciation of molecular medicine, as it may be applied towards the healing of
skin and complex supporting skin structures. Additionally, Ali has spent over 20 years
working in the field of healthcare finance, across investment banking, consulting and
private equity. He received an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
Throughout these 20 years, Ali enriched his mind beyond genetics, researching the
realm of plant-derived anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory ingredients. The sum of these
life experiences have led to the passion, vision and business acumen to launch Aperio
Beauty.
