Alex Collie is an accomplished scholar in applied public health and social policy. His career started in brain injury and trauma and his current focus of research is workers compensation and injury prevention. He actively contributes to global work and health research and is dedicated to improving workers' compensation schemes and advancing evidence-based rehabilitation after compensable injuries.
In this episode, we talk about his entry into the field of occupational health and his research and interests in psychology, work injury rehabilitation, and social protection schemes for personal injury. Professor Alex Collie is the Director of the Healthy Working Lives Research Group and Co-Director of the Division of Health Services Systems and Policy, in the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. He is an Australian Research Council Future Fellow (2020 to 2024) and a Churchill Fellow.
