I love my Spotify streaming service. In my studio I have an iPad set up that plays music though my blue tooth speaker. I like walking into my office first thing in the morning and music is already filling the space. It depends on the day. It depends on how well I slept the night before. My music mood changes multiple times a day. As I already stated, a typically music flow in my day sounds like LoFi Beats to start… into some classical… wrapping up with some Jazz. I don’t like words as I’m writing or coaching. I do like having a steady beat to keep me on the upswing. Sometimes I change the style of music to help me out of funk and get me in the groove for what the next few hours might be asking of me. It’s almost a preemptive strike to help me get to where I know I need to be. Music help me work my success plan. Sometimes I just need a little outside motivation to help me stay on track. How about you?

As life comes swinging at you today… what do you do when you find yourself depleting rapidly or loosing focus or your motivation dropping? Or maybe, just maybe you’re just out of energy and tired. Yeah, I get that. Welcome to being a mortal. Welcome to being human. Welcome to being an individual with big dreams that is trying to live in a fast paced devouring world. If you’re stuck in the middle of kicking booty and wanting to stop… what do you do?

Is it time to put on some different music?

Here are a few suggestions…

Go for a walk. Pause work for a bit. Maybe declutter your space and refresh the vibe. Grab a healthy snack or drink. Call a friend. Shoot some hoops… I mean who knows right? The idea is this… when your in a rut… how can you elevate your thinking and attitude to keep advancing instead of retreating.

So today. When you hit a wall. Make a conscious decision to hit reset, refresh and redo.
