The Great Commission

Matthew 28:19 and 20 is commonly referred to as the "Great Commission". Just as commonly, it is thought to be the directive to evangelize the nations. But is that it? What makes this commission "great" is that it is an imperative from our King and Lord to "make disciples?" All that we do as Christian people and as Christian churches is to be focused on this end! Those whom Jesus has made His disciples are to make others, His disciples. Faith, Evangelism, and even Salvation itself is only a step in the process of being and making disciples because making disciples is our calling and goal.
