Porn star Stormy Daniels described in her criminal trial her 2006 encounter with Donald Trump, testifying that she tried not to think about sex while it took place and feared it would become public.
Daniels, 45, offered details on the witness stand about her encounter with Trump and the agreement she made to remain silent before the 2016 election.
In addition, she told the jury that her life became "chaos" after the deal became public in 2018, saying she was ostracised and harassed at home.
Daniels' testimony led Trump's legal team to move for a mistrial, arguing that her account included details, such as the fact that Trump did not use a condom, "inflamed" the jury and were irrelevant to the case.
Judge Juan Merchan denied the request.
