Fabiana has been recently awarded her PhD from the University of Melbourne where she investigated the organisational capacity of Centres of Research Excellence in Australia. During the past years she has been working at the LH Martin Institute (of the same university) focusing on Research and Innovation Policy and Management. Prior to that she has worked for many years in Europe as a project manager and fundraiser for international scientific projects involving European universities and research centres. She was a trainee at the European Comission in Luxembourg. She has a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a master's degree in the field of Higher Education Policy and Management.
