There is just something about the name of Jesus. His is the name that will not go away. Two thousand years later, the name of Jesus is still a part of our cultural landscape. Political people use his name to try to win votes or an argument. Hurting people pray in his name to bring comfort and help. Spiritual people sing songs about the name of Jesus. And just about every person has yelled his name when smashing their finger with a hammer. Why? What is it about the name of Jesus? Where did his name come from? Why is it important? And what significance does it hold for us today?
