Jordan Walker returning to the lineup did not provide the intended boost as he went 0-for-3 with a walk. He was far from the only quiet Cardinal offensively in the game as STL had two opportunities with the bases loaded go by the wayside on the day.

Sonny Gray gave up three homers including one to EDLC and two to Spencer Steer... A rough outing despite the nine Ks that Gray racked up.

The Cardinals just aren't vibing after Monday's game and they're quickly facing an uphill climb in the standings with dwindling time remaining in the year to truly find their footing.
