Sound Bath 090- Lily Lau, Michelle Chow, Felis Hui

Michelle Chow introduced me to her friends Lily Lau and Felis Hui, two women who play the shamanic drum. After two recordings with them in their studio in Tsuen Wan, they invited Michelle to play with them. They planned a little bit before the recording and just began playing. As the composition began taking shape, Michelle provided a constant drone and rhythm with her bowls while Lili and Felis began chanting with each breath, sometimes harmonizing and sometimes dissonant.
