Iowa Player with Heart: Cooper Wierson

Cooper Wierson was nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart for his commitment and passion on and off the field and court. What he loves most about high school sports is that he has been playing with the same people since they were young, and his school is small enough that he can be friends with everyone. Cooper participates in football, basketball, track and field, and baseball. Outside of school, he helps clean up the baseball field in the spring with his father to prepare the field for the season. He also grew up as part of 4-H and showed animals. Cooper lives on his grandpa’s farm, making agriculture everything to him. Cooper is considering different colleges and wants to take courses to discover his future career. He would love to continue playing sports and being a leader at a collegiate level.
