This week we welcome Theresa Petruna and Steve Kelnhofer, the Co-Founders of Elev8 Veterans. Elev8 Veterans officially started in 2019 to bring awareness, education, rehabilitation and re-acclimation of veterans and their families to society using alternative methods. Theresa, an Army veteran and former member of the 82nd Airborne, teamed up with Steve, a glassblower with over 15 years of experience, to form an organization that promotes a holistic approach to self-care. They open their doors, with the hope of educating veterans on the benefits of safe and responsible cannabis use. Steve designed his hand-blown glass vaping vehicle, the Silver Surfer, to provide an optimal delivery system for the medicinal benefits of cannabis. Elev8 Veterans doesn't stop with simply promoting cannabis use, Steve and Theresa invite veterans to come to the Elev8 Premier facility to learn the art of glassblowing. Once a week, and the first Saturday of every month, Elev8 Veterans teaches veterans the basics of this intricate craft. Beginning with safety, veterans quickly get on the torch and start to shape their first glass marble. Theresa and Steve attack each day with the mission to serve the veteran community.
