Recent polls show that Donald Trump is polling higher than presumptive Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, however polls also suggest that Bernie Sanders stands a chance against Donald Trump. Clinton is winning the Black vote despite a history of supporting legislation that harms the Black Community, while Bernie Sanders directly addresses issues that affect the Black Community, such as the War On Drugs and Mass Incarceration, but is trailing behind Clinton and losing the Black vote. Today we discuss why Black people continue to support candidates such as Clinton who don't address black issues directly, we highlight the differences between Clinton and Sanders, and discuss the possible ramifications for the future of the Black Community. We also discuss the outcome of today's verdict in the Edward Nero. Nero was found not guilty in the crimes he was charged with related to the death of Freddie Gray.
