Negative self talk impacts so many of us. In today’s episode, you’ll learn examples of negative self talk and how to change it. You might experience negative self talk when you make a mistake or things don’t go the way you planned. That’s ok! Our brains are wired to focus on the negative and to get stuck in patterns. The trick is to understand this and be able to reframe negative thoughts for more positive, supportive thoughts.

In today’s episode, you’ll learn how our brains are wired for negativity, five examples of negative self talk, and how you can reframe these thoughts. Awareness is the first step in understanding where you are today and understanding yourself in a different way. It is the first step in order to be able to change negative self talk to positive thoughts which will then allow to shift your thoughts, uncover more of your path and discover more of who you really are.

Remember, this is a journey and the path is not linear. How we show up in the day to day is where change really happens.

Have you ever wondered what your body is telling you? It’s speaking to you all the time whether you realize it or not. I sat down with chronic pain specialist, Laura Koratsis, to learn more about how our bodies speak to us. Laura takes me through her ESP2 Method, where she evaluates Eating, Sleeping, Pooping, Emotional, Spiritual and Physical health before working on any client. Laura shares the reasons that each of those areas is important for understanding your overall health, while having me answer each question as she would ask a client. It’s a great conversation that sheds light on the different areas of life that impact our bodies. Laura has seen it all, including getting messages from the deceased (Post Material People as she calls them) as she works on clients. About Laura: Laura received her licensure in therapeutic massage & hydrotherapy from Finger Lakes School of Massage in 2005. She also studied fascial work and completed Levels 1 & 2 of the Taylor Techniques before embarking on her own course of study of the fascia under Tom Meyers’ Anatomy Trains, Live Dissection Classes. Laura studied the connection between fascia and movement as well as the relationship between the fascia and stored emotion and trauma, and the fascinating relationship between the fascia and the nervous, digestive and respiratory systems in addition to the musculoskeletal system. Laura’s work is firmly grounded in science, but is highly intuitive. To further enhance her understanding of the less obvious connection between emotion and dysfunction of the Soma, Laura completed her certification in hypnotherapy. Through Intuitive Touch she is able to connect the source of physical dysfunction and tune into the underlying emotional causes of pain, thereby unlocking the body’s own powerful healing response to allow for restoration of physical, mental and emotional release. Laura loves all living things and marvels at each opportunity to interact with the natural world around her. Morning routines and circadian rhythm lighting impact the trajectory of our days in many ways that we may not even realize. I sat down with wellness coach and quantum biology certified professional, Christi Collins, to discuss the importance of circadian rhythm lighting and morning routines. Christi shares tips for navigating the changes of seasons and how you can shift your morning routine over time in order to receive the full effects of circadian rhythm lighting for your body. If you’re someone that has trouble sleeping and have tried all the options out there, you may want to consider your relationship with circadian rhythm lighting as a next step. Christi shares that the quality of our sleep is actually impacted by the quality of our morning routine and our access to circadian rhythm lighting. It is also impacted by our use of screens (TVs, computers, phones, etc). Learning how to live with less stress and more peace is an important life skill that will support you for years to come. There are many modalities and approaches to living life with less stress and more peace.. What is self responsibility and how can you use it to change your life? Today, I’m sharing more about the topic of self responsibility. You may have also heard of it as personal responsibility, or in some cases, people use the terminology radical responsibility. This principle is around really taking a look at the self and identifying what you are responsible for. If we really want to do something different and make some type of change, we have to be willing to try different things and be open to different experiences, and something has to change, otherwise we won't change. Part of looking at making lasting change is looking at the self. It's the building block that everything else grows from, because it's all around taking a look at how you operate, how you treat yourself, how you take care of yourself, and how you show up and love yourself. Along with all of those things it’s important to take a look and see if you are taking responsibility in your life - for how you show up, the part that you play in your relationships, the part that you play in your work and all the different areas of your life. Today, I want to share a story with you around the impact of embracing the present moment. It includes an example of using ten minutes to connect and embrace the present moment. It’s an everyday example so you may have found yourself in a similar situation at some point in your life. We are often sold this idea that we always need to be in the present moment, and there's almost a stress or a pressure around achieving that. But really, being in the present moment and embracing it 100% of the time isn’t the reality for most of us. If you are someone that struggles with finding a way to be in the present moment or struggles to stay in the present moment, then this story is for you. If you're trying to connect more deeply to yourself, remember that it's a process. It's something that requires time, experimentation, openness, curiosity and a willingness to be open with yourself. You may drop in and be present for a period of time, and then you may fall out of that, because something happened and you got triggered, or you were moving on with something else in your day and something happened. We're all on this journey. There is no right or wrong, and this is just one story that I hope can help you to see that there are many options for how you embrace the present moment and live from that place. Today I’m sharing three easy ways to love yourself a little more every day. We typically hold a belief that any type of habit has to be a big production. We have to push ourselves in ways and make these big, grand gestures or big commitments to say, I'm going to do it like this. I’m going to stay consistent and if I don’t do it right it’s a failure. The reality is, life is the compilation of all the little moments and there are so many opportunities to love yourself in the little moments. Today’s episode will share three ways that you can love yourself more in your little moments to bring you more meaning, more fulfillment, more peace, more joy, more ease, whatever it is that you're looking for and searching for and wanting more of. Today I’m sharing three life lessons from a Human Design Projector. Learning that I am a Projector in Human Design has had a monumental impact on my life. Not because I hold everything about it as an absolute truth, but because it helped me to see and understand myself in ways I never had before. It has helped me to understand my energy better and supports me in navigating how I show up in my life and business. Whether or not you are a human design projector, I hope this information supports you and any human design projectors you may have in your life. Change from Within is here to help you uncover your unique path to living your most aligned life. Part of what I'd like to do more often on this page is share some personal experiences that I've had and the ways that they have helped me and supported me. My hope and intention with sharing my lessons as a projector in Human Design is that it may help and support you in some way too. Hearing some of these lessons might unlock something for you with whatever it is that you're going through. My intention around sharing examples from Human Design also relates to my profile as a 3/5 self projected projector. My life is all about trial and error, experimentation and learning by doing.
