Mrs. Penina Noy is an educational leader with over 20 years of experience, representing the fourth generation of her family’s commitment to Jewish education. From founding schools to transforming fledgling institutions in diverse communities, Penina has been instrumental in fostering environments where every child can thrive. Currently, she plays a pivotal role at The Jewish Education Project and Torah Umesorah’s DLI project, where she coaches and consults on best practices for supporting educators and students. In her role at The Jewish Education Project, Penina is part of an organization that has been a cornerstone of Jewish educational support for over 100 years. Originally established as The Board of Jewish Education, the organization provides professional development, advocacy, and resources to Jewish schools, securing millions in federal funding and ensuring access to exams and nutrition programs. The Jewish Education Project also enhances Israel education, Hebrew language instruction, and Jewish spirituality across Yeshivot and day schools. The host Rabbi Yerachmiel Garfield Ed.D. is the Head of School of the rapidly growing Yeshiva Toras Emes in Houston Texas. He has previously served as a mesivta rebbe, assistant menahel, school counselor and adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins University. In addition, he has written on chinuch topics for national publications, educational journals, and has presented multiple workshops.
